This page explains what you can and can't do with wallpapers you download from WallpaperZZZ. The same rules apply to both free and paid wallpapers — the only difference is whether you paid.
What you can do
- Use the wallpaper as the desktop / lock-screen background on devices you personally own.
- Keep the wallpaper indefinitely. We don't expire downloads.
- Resize, crop, or recolour the file for your own personal display — but not redistribute the result.
What you can't do
- Redistributethe file. Don't re-upload it to other wallpaper sites, file-sharing services, Discord servers, Reddit, etc.
- Resell the file or include it in a paid product, bundle, NFT, or print.
- Use the file commercially — that means no marketing materials, no client work, no monetised YouTube backgrounds, no Twitch stream overlays, no business presentations.
- Use the file as a asset inside an app or game you build, regardless of whether the app is free or paid.
- Train machine-learning models on the file (it's copyrighted material).
Attribution
No attribution is required. You don't have to credit WallpaperZZZ when displaying a wallpaper on your own devices.
License terms
The licence is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable if you violate these terms or our Terms of Service. All copyright and other rights in the wallpapers remain with the original creators and/or WallpaperZZZ.
Commercial use
Need a wallpaper for commercial use? Email hello@wallpaperzzz.net and we'll see if a custom licence is possible. We don't offer it by default in v1.
